The Arab region faces complex, interconnected crises across socioeconomic, institutional and environmental dimensions. This report explores pathways to reform public governance, particularly in conflict-affected and fragile States, to ensure sustainable recovery and prevent further conflict. The report calls for bold reforms addressing institutional fragility, inefficiency and exclusion, so as to create a foundation for lasting peace, sustainable development and inclusive public governance in the Arab region. Enhancing government effectiveness, reducing corruption and fostering transparency are key to this reform. Strong, accountable institutions are essential to restoring public trust and ensuring that public governance systems serve all citizens, especially marginalized groups in fragile States.
