By abdullah philpy This is the missing part of Abdullah Philby’s original notes on his travels across the Arabian Peninsula. The manuscript, partially damaged and incomplete, was recently found in the archives of the University of Plymouth, UK. Nearly 90 pages of the original work have been lost to history. The current edition is a reconstructed translation of the surviving fragments, with several passages interpreted contextually due to illegible or unclear original language. The reasons for Philby’s decision not to publish this section remain unknown, though some accounts suggest political pressure from King Saud after Philby’s expulsion from Dhahran to Beirut. This edition is offered for free online distribution. Only five physical copies have been printed for archival purposes.
